Kick it to the back

This is a BoxAerobics pattern from (pattern 17004)

This is my favorite combo ... perfect to get the class "in the ring" and feel like they're in a match.

Start facing the right wall. LEFT jab towards the front of the room for 8 counts; 1 count out, 1 count in (4 punches).

Add a RIGHT cross punch on the down beat so it is; jab-cross (1,2) jab-cross (3,4), etc. Bodies should be twisting right-front, right-front .. these are quick, one punch per beat.

Replace the fourth cross punch with a LEFT knee strike: Left jab- right cross - left jab - left knee (1,2,3,4) (for a higher option, they can hop with the knee strike).

You should be doing 2 of these combos per eight count.

Adding on ... at this point it's fun to remind them that you're too strong for your (imaginary) opponent and he called for help. His buddy is sneaking up behind you. What are you going to do? Add right back kick to surprise him and a left knee strike.

Add on as slowly as you want. For a class with a lot of new cardio kickboxers you may want to stick with each section for a full 32.

Have fun and remind them to "take it to the ring!"
