Movie-Special

In my classes, I am always trying to involve the participants. So with this class, I made them guess from which Movie the Song is, the one who guessed the most got a chocolate bar in the end. They loved it.

For the class itself I have chosen a ride which in reality exists, however it's in Switzerland - so basically First Flat and in the End over a hill and back to the town of Zurich.

I like to play with the music and get my class to listen well.

Warm-Up & Explaining Profile

• Take My Breath Away & Kiss Me

FLAT-Road:

• Ghostbusters: Each time they sing Ghostbusters - they have to do 2by2 combos
• Eye of the Tiger: Combos 16by16 than 14by14 than 12by12 etc.
• Golden Eye: Each participant decides how many combos the others have to do - we make a round
• I've Had the Time of My Life: When he sings all the guys have to stand and when she sings all the ladies have to stand and the guys can sit down at Chorus the whole class has to stand up
• Stayin Alive: I group them in two one person stands and when he/she sits down the other one has to stand up - I make them chasing each other
• You're the One: At chorus a sprint is performed while seated - than standing - seated and in the end standing - 4 chorus' in total - one in the middle of the song and three at the very end

Uphill:

• Gangsta's Paradise: At chorus they have to give more resistance and the resistance remains - I make them aware at the beginning not to go to the highest possible resistance
• Flashdance: High resistance as soon as the chorus comes they have to stand up and upper body freezes - only legs are moving
• Everything I do: High resistance: 1 minute standing - 1 minute sitting - 1 minute standing etc.
• Fame: Combos 16by8 than 12by6 than 8by4 etc.

Downhill:

• Indiana Jones Theme: Sprint - Challenge
• Cool down & stretching
• Streets of Philadelphia and I Believe I Can Fly

My class loved this - they were going out full of sweat but with a big smile ;-)
