Beach Ball Fun in the Pool
This is an
Aquatic pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 17027)
I purchased inflatable beach balls at the dollar store to add variety to my water aerobics routine.
Each person has a ball. Here are a variety of exercises to try for 1 minute each, or 16 counts at a time.
- Legs apart, pull ball through water left to right, back and forth
- Jog legs, push ball straight out in front at chest height
- Jog legs, push ball straight over head and lower to chest height
- Alternate one push forward, one push over head while jogging
- Jog legs, hold ball at chest height and squeeze ball repeatedly
- While jogging, throw ball up in air to yourself and catch
- With a partner, toss one or two balls back and forth
- Lie on back and hold ball on chest, crunch in knees toward ball
- Form a circle, all turn to the right and throw balls to right, continuing around the circle, while jogging, then turn to left and throw balls left
- Form two lines facing each other and play "volleyball" back and forth
Please post if you have other ideas to use with beach balls!
