Hill Drills
This is a
Cycling pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 17015)
Thank you everyone for adding to this website!! It has helped me out so much!
When I pull these suckers out everyone loves them!! They are tough but short!
This is a 10 minute work load, You can work with one long song or multiple songs.
- Start off at an easy or working flat for one min.
- Starting in the saddle, add in quarter to half a turn, every 15 seconds for one minute. (your riders should be at their max. climb here)
- Hold the climb for one minute.
- Rest completely for one minute.
- Second climb standing, add in quarter to half a turn, every 15 seconds for one minute.
- Hold the climb for one minute.
- Rest completely for one minute.
- Last climb Third position (hoovering over handle bars),add in quarter to half a turn, every 15 seconds for one minute.
- Hold the climb for one minute.
- Rest completely for one minute.
Even though there are rest stops during the workload I constantly tell my riders to rest and grab water when they need it.I also tell my riders to only add in as much as they can. I'm constantly working with beginners and experienced riders and I want them all to feel challenged but in control of their own ride!
Have fun!!
