Kick ball change
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 17086)
A little complicated but fun :) plays with rhythm-32 counts. Hopefully not too hard to understand-email me with questions! :)
You will start on a right foot lead to the corner of the bench
- Step kick on bench (1-2)
- Straddle (the 'and' count and 3)
- Stomp left foot (4), straddle (5,6), stomp right foot (7, 8->the 8 count is the left foot on the floor)
- Restep with the right foot to reverse turn on top and end in a straddle facing opposite end (9-12)
- Basic right (back-up) home (13-16)
- Repeater 7 knees (back to the left corner-right foot lead), curls, or whatever (17-32) - gives you a break from the quick calls and gives members a chance to work hard!
I usually break it down a tiny bit at a time. First the 3 counts with a stomp, then add the stomp-straddle-stomp. Depending on the level of the class I even go 1/2 tempo to do the reverse turn until the exit after the basic home just so everyone gets a chance to see it and feel good before we go up-tempo!
